It’s fabulous! BC book artists are receiving a lot of attention these days. Three of them will be presenting at the Vancouver Public Library (VPL) on Thursday, May 1st, 7-8:30pm in the Central Public Library (350 West Georgia Street), Downtown Vancouver. Please look for the event in the lower levels of the combined Alma VanDusen & Peter Kay rooms.

Phyllis Greenwood, Sylvia Wong and Joanne Ursino are the local Greater Vancouver Area book artists who will be talking about the different aspects of book arts and creativity.

In the world of art, book arts may seem a small slice … but even within book arts, there are many different art forms. Just imagine the possibilities of applying creativity to so many varieties! On May 1st, you’ll get to hear how creativity and book arts are distilled in their own works.

This is a free event, open to the public. It’s another first for us … partnering with VPL in this way to bring depth and details of book arts to everyone.
